Ron Collins, a New York based lighting designer, is originally from Nashville, TN. Collins earned his MFA from The University of Texas at Austin. He found his passion for Lighting Design while at Middle Tennessee State University where he received his Bachelors of Science in Theatre. He currently is an Associate Designer with Studio RRD, a lighting studio specializing in luxury fashion, festivals, and experiential events. Collins also specializes in production management and installation design. Some of his design highlights are The Little Mermaid, Love and Information, and Der Kaiser von Atlantis, and Kafka’s Metamorphosis. He will be making his New York opera design debut with Rusalka at Manhattan School of Music this spring.
